The Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) are an international company who sell theatre tickets for their own theatres, of which they own 46 in the UK alone and also sell tickets for other theatres. They have many outlets for selling tickets throughout the world, but have been focusing on internet sales over recent years.
With the success of their website, they decided to make the move into apps for mobile phone and tablets.
The project
On receipt of the brief, the first phase of the project was the initial design and UX concept stages, creating wireframes, user journeys and mock up images to illustrate how the app would look, work and feel. Once the designs were agreed upon, the next phase was to create and supply Photoshop PSD files to their development team to turn into a working app.
Look and feel was dictated by their existing branding and guided by their current website which was combined with an app-friendly interface, making use of the app’s ability to scroll easily to browse through shows.
