The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) are the governing body of tennis in Great Britain.

The project

This project was to design a book titled The Core Principles for Technique written by tennis professionals Rob Antoun and Dan Thorp. The book covers all of the core movements and techniques required to teach tennis at a professional level.

All text and images were supplied by the LTA. A wire-frame mock-up book was created initially in Adobe Illustrator before work began on the final version using Adobe InDesign.

The layout was created using Adobe InDesign with artwork and graphics created in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Rob Sumner : Nuideas.

Clean, innovative, creative design for print and digital

Rob Sumner’s background and formal qualifications are in Graphic Design. The early years of his career were spent gaining invaluable experience working as a Graphic Designer for design companies in the north west.

In the mid 1990’s Rob moved from print to web design. To design websites well, Rob wanted to understand how they were constructed so began learning development skills such as PHP, HTML and CSS.

Since then he has continued to learn and advance his skills through courses and work experience, contracting for a wide range of blue chip companies, SMEs and small business clients all over the UK.
